Kim first developed a passion for helping patients while volunteering at a rehabilitation hospital during her undergraduate studies. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Toronto, Kim completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Therapeutic Recreation. Her career as a registered recreation therapist recreation inspired her to advance her professional journey into Patient Relations to further enhance the patient experience.
In her current role as Patient Experience Lead, Kim bridges the gap between patients and their healthcare teams while advocating for patient needs. She is dedicated to managing patient inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing personalized support to ensure each patient feels heard and valued. Kim’s expertise involves not only addressing patient concerns but also collaborating closely with healthcare providers to foster a patient-centered approach that promotes overall well-being and satisfaction.
She engages with patients and their families to identify opportunities for improvement, makes recommendations to the organization, and helps implement strategies to drive quality improvement initiatives.
