George Craigie

George Craigie, CSCMP is Senior Director, Supply Chain Data, Analytics & SIOP with McKesson Canada and has more than 30 years’ experience in supply management, purchasing, logistics and project management. George is a pioneer in advancing supply chain connectivity and data standards within the Canadian pharmacy sector. He is actively involved with implementing standards and best practices in the healthcare supply chain. He is a member and Co-Chair of GS1 Canada’s Healthcare Board. He has been involved in many industry association committees and initiatives including with: GS1 Canada, Canadian Association for Pharmacy Distribution Management, and Supply Chain Canada. He was a contributing member of the Institute for Safe Medication Practices / Canadian Patient Safety Institute’s Canadian Pharmaceutical Bar Coding Project, and co-led an industry committee on e-Ordering of Controlled Substance that was instrumental in bringing electronic ordering and e-signature to this sector. He currently leads the Healthcare industry initiative to implement 2D Barcoding and is chair of the CAPDM 2D Barcoding committee.
